BMJ Best Practice

All NHS staff in England now have more clinical information at their fingertips!

BMJ Best Practice is an award-winning resource. It gives healthcare professionals quick and easy access to authoritative information to underpin diagnosis and treatment decisions. Updated daily, it draws on the latest evidence-based research, guidelines and expert opinion to offer step-by-step guidance on diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and prevention.

All NHS staff in England can now access BMJ Best Practice online and offline via an app. It can also be integrated with electronic health record systems for fast access within clinical workflows. Please visit bestpractice.bmj.com for further information.

There are some technical issues we are dealing with so currently for access via Athens please go to:

www.evidence.nhs.uk and select Journals and Databases.

Alternatively, Best Practice will also be listed in “My Resources” once you login on OpenAthens.

Access: Go to bestpractice.bmj.com. NHS staff click ‘Log In’  create a personal account to download the app and access content.

This resource has become available in April 2019 across NHS England because Health Education England (HEE) has invested in this national ‘point of care’ tool as a new partnership with the BMJ.

We also hope to have links set up on Trust Favourites and Applications very soon….

If you would like to find out more or need help accessing it please visit the library or contact us.
